Hello,

Forgive me that I haven't been around much lately. I want to share update news about me. Since 2005, I have Leukemia (CLL). Lately, for the past 2 months, I had some pain in my stomach so about two weeks ago, I went to Ultrasound.

The oncologist doctor said the spleen is in double size...which is called Splenomegaly. However, I will be going through chemo treatment. First before that, I went for catscan last Thursday then tmw on Monday I will see oncologist dr again to discuss the plan.

Next week, I believe that I will be starting in chemo treatment for 4 months. I will be going to clinic for 5 days in first week of monthly only. And also taking two different types of antibiotics for 4 straight months - one for every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and the other antibiotic to take on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday but Sunday is church. (Dr said that) I will be taking antibiotic for 4 months along with chemo treatment.

Again, chemo treatment is 5 days first week of 4 months...not weekly. For example: First week of June...First week of July...etc. Then after 4 months, The dr will give me different kind of treatment.

Their goal is to have my Splenomegaly to "shrink" back to normal size. The dr said good news is that I will not lose my hair...and not go throug naseau but will have some side effects like tired, etc. (Back in my mind, wait and see about me losing my hair or not even though dr said I wouldn't)

Well, Last week, I just started working part time 3 days a week because of my health. I will take one day at a time...enjoy life, have joy and peace...trusting in God that He is in control, He is God of breakthrough healing!! I am okay now...just taking easy because I don't want to break down.

Remember this, Dr Jesus Christ is better than any of human doctors! Amen?

I love you all.

My prayers are with you my friend. At least you caught it, know what it is and can be cured with modern medicine. Imagine having severe pain in your stomach and surrounding area for years and they never find anything wrong. I hope you make a full and fast recovery. God bless

My X wife is going through Chemo right now for the same
thing, she is doing pretty good, and i guess she has
had it for over a year.
Thank god its pretty much something they can treat these
days. Back in the 60's it would have been really bad news
but not now.

You will do fine. My baby daughter went through 5 years of chemo: age 2-1/2 to 7. She is now 23 years old, and she is a forensic biochemist/anthropologist (not sure if I spelled all that correctly). There is no sign of cancer. Good luck - modern medicine works wonders.
