how would I name this chord?

Kind of a modified E7#9 with a G in the bass. It is an intro chord and I pedal the G bass note before striking the rest, similar to the E7#9 in Purple Haze.

As it stands, G6 with no 3rd.
There's no M3 for the #9 to clash against - if it's an E chord, then Em7.

(I think, unless I've missed something really obvious!)
