Just curious what's the best way to store extra pickup magnets that I have laying around. In particular I'm talking about if they should be set any particular way together to keep the magnets strong or does it really not matter? Do you need to store them apart from each other so the magnets don't interact at all as they sit?

While I'm at it....is there any way at all to tell if a magnet is A2, A3, etc?

I stick them to something metal, away from each other. Do you have a lack of Fridge mags for example??

You need a gauss meter to figure out what mag type each one is....assuming someone's not written it down.

I usually store the same magnets together. Such as A2 with A2 and A4 with A4, and so on. I do separate them within each category, such as I don't put RCA5 with polished A5 or UOA5...and I don't put short RCA4 with long polished A4 and so on.

Some places have the type of magnet marked right on them, where in some cases a blue mark on the end can mean A2 and a black mark can mean A5.
