How many will be shot this weekend in Chicago?

How many? you have to post your exact number but a range poll seemed like a good idea too.

  • 0-10, we expect a snow storm.

    Votes: 2 5.7%
  • 11-20, say it rains all weekend, tho it's not supposed to.

    Votes: 4 11.4%
  • 21-30, maybe the stratergerie works.

    Votes: 3 8.6%
  • 30-50? seems like the norm.

    Votes: 10 28.6%
  • 0ver 50? go big or go home, do the gangs react to the cops threats?

    Votes: 16 45.7%

  • Total voters
    35
  • Poll closed .

We had roughly 60 people shot last weekend, how many will take a bullet or few this weekend?

Keep in mind, Chicago PD decided to up the patrol Fri and Sat night by about 600 officers.

They plan on breaking up any street parties where there is loud music and/or the smell of marajuana in certain "zones".

With over 350 killed this year, going after pot smokers seems like a pretty silly idea. i don't know too many pot smokers, but the ones I know are generally very passive.

I'll paypal $5 to the winner that guesses the exact number of people shot in chicago starting now until monday at 8AM. Guess or post by midnight tonight.

i think we're in for a sh;t show, and i hope i'm very wrong.

Again, that's # of people shot, not the number of fatalities due to shooting.

I sat (as a juror) on a murder trial last week
a 16 year old victim, executed for the small sum
of $500

almost hopelessly sad the culture that's been created

there's virtually no way to 'unfuck' Chicago

Everyone wants to stop the violence but no one wants to "snitch".

I don't know how many people will be shot in Chi-town this weekend.

But I can guarantee a shot out of a cannon right here on MLP if this thread turns political or crappy.

it's a raffle Dave

I wish there was a real answer. I'm afraid that people are just too stupid en masse.

Chicago is getting a bad statistics-rap.

Chicago is the third largest metro area in America. So it's easy to point a finger at.

But it is 25th in line for the title of murder-capital-USA. Per catpita.

Per capita is important. Deaths per 100k residents.

St Louis MO, five-times higher rate. Hartford CT and West Palm beach spank Chicago's numbers.

Kansas City, Pittsburgh and the City of Brotherly Love will all kill more people per capita this year.
Okay, so how many people were shot in Hartford last weekend? And why hasn't it been consistently in the news the last few years?

I went a-googlin' . Two shootings in late June, Hartford.

I disagree with the "per captia" thing. Bad areas are bad areas, ghettos are gettos, street is street, and it all stinks like bad cess.
