I've had my 1982 Gibson Les Paul Standard since 2007. So 9 years this August.

My 2000 Classic purchased new in 2000. I feel very fortunate to have found this gem of a Gibson. I would surely miss its' tone and playability should we ever part company.

Ask me this question after 10 years... If I am still alive, I will definitely say "My R8 which I purchased in 2016" :D

1981 Custom bought new, still have it. It's a closet case queen. I keep it mint, seldom play it. Guitar is 35 years old. Cost me $545 dollars and that included a Gibson Protector case.

That is perhaps one of the most gorgeous quilt tops I've ever seen

I've had my G0 for 3 years (on the left). When I got her she already had a refret and Sheptone Tributes in her, haven't done any mods since as she plays and sounds perfect. I've only been playing for about 6-7 years, so it's been with me half of the time.

I bought this 78' Les Paul Custom in about 1989, for all of $600. I had to make payments for a few months! I still have it. I owned a 76' Deluxe before that but I don't have that one anymore.......

The LP I had the longest in general? I had a white LP Supreme that I bought new in 2008 and sold in 2012 because I just wasn't jiving with it anymore.

Of the current LPs I own? Well if we take non Gibson LPs into consideration. I had my Gladiator GG-258 since late 2012 and my Edwards since 2014 so they're the longest running ones right now.

Out of my Gibsons I got my R8 last year and got my newest LP (a Peace model) a few months ago. :laugh2:

Maybe :naughty:

Honestly we see so much buying, selling, artificial aging etc. on here. I'm interested to see guys who have found "the one" and held onto it, and how the guitars naturally aged and everything that goes along with that!

Didn't see a thread like it so I thought, why not?

Both '01 R7s. I've owned both since '02.

so...14 years.

I've had one LP or another since 92.

The two above and a DC Jr (see below) are my only Les pauls. I bought the '06 R8 DC in 2010.

I bought a used 71 Deluxe in 1975, so that's 41 years I've had it. It's on it's third set of pickups and second set of pots and caps. There are places where the finish is worn right down to the wood from playing, but that guitar is rock solid and has been my #1 since the day I got it.

Bought this '97 Jr Special in high school in 1998 I believe. Super slim 60's neck.
