20 miles each way on the M1 from Derbyshire through South Yorkshire. It takes an hour at best at the times I'm driving

I wish I didn't sell mine. I moved to back to New England and it sat at my Mother in laws house for a year. So I ended up selling it. I want another one bad.
Mine actually belonged to my dad (he exclusively drove old Beetles for YEARS), but my mom made him let me take it to college with me when he bought a truck. Then, I left it at their house for a bit, because it wouldn't start and I didn't have time to get it fixed. While it was there, they sold it for $400.

Then about 7 years later, the guy who bought it just let it sit and rust for a few years, so I bought it back from him for $300. Now, it's back sitting at my parents' house again, because we don't have space at our house. I get to see it every day on my commute though, since I drive by their house. I should probably grab the title out of it, so they don't sell it again... :hmm:

19 miles round trip for me. When I bought my current commutermobile, I wanted something that I could leave unlocked, not care where I parked it - not care what it looks like. I have put about 75k miles on it. I have done one oil change. If it dies tomorrow, I will have gotten my $5k out of it that I paid for it. I'll just go buy another one...

Mrs. Juk and I work in one of the worst traffic areas in the US (actually, rated THE worst by a recent study). I just HATE that. We live in the burbs and our commute is just about an hour each way, partly because we share a single vehicle and I drive further into downtown, drop her off, then come back to my office to park where I have free parking. Then repeat in the evening.

I pretty much HATE the traffic here all year and the weather here half of the year. If I could find equally stable and paying work in another major metropolitan area with less traffic and better weather I'd likely jump on it.

Thats a Twat,Matt
We seem to be commuting to England a lot, lately
The poor English cannot seem to grasp the concept
of commercial heating and air conditioning :naughty:

I know, I spend most of my time in the forest of dean where they are not only English but also inbred!!

My work is a 5 mile drive away, and takes around 10 minutes if the traffic is good.

Before i got my car, it would take around 50 minutes (two train journeys) to get to work each morning. I love trains and all, but i'm glad i don't have to do that anymore! Especially in the cold months.
