How easily does an ABR-1 tilt?

Hi there,

I use 10-52 (Ernie Ball Skinny Top Heavy Bottom) strings, I don't plan on changing that...

Now the saddle on my low E (the fat 52 gauge one) is maxed out in the neck direction for intonation and touching the the back of the bridge.

The other strings clear the bridge.

I don't really want to raise the tailpiece from the current position either, unless I reaaallly have to.

Do you think the low E could cause my bridge to tilt eventually? When would 'eventually' be?

Thank you.

Shouldn't be a problem unless your wheels are way high on the studs. If they are you might see some tilt after a few years. Just keep an eye on it and watch for the bridge sagging in the middle.

Thanks guys, that was quick!

I've top-wrapped before, don't mind it but prefer string-through.

My bridge isn't really high (about 6 mm), so I guess it should be ok.

Thanks again.

If you need a bit more travel on that saddle, turn it 180 degrees (if it isn't already).
