photobucket.com

Use the url to the picture once it's uploaded and put the link in the "insert image" button.

Go to imageshack and upload it online, it will give you a code and you can use that code to paste it here.

If the picture is already online, right click on it, look down to properties at the bottom, click on that, then copy the address (URL) paste that into the following

Stop advertising photobucket! It sucks. Links last like a month before they expire, and usually it says bandwith exceeded (or something like that)

Use ImageShack® - Online Media Hosting
If the pictures are really large, you can select different sizes and it will adapt the pictures. Usually 700 x 900 is enough for a forum board.

Anyway, when the upload is done, you can use the 'direct image link' and add
. copy the link and add the Things, Like Leon said earlier. * In here * represents the image link. Remove spaces.

You can also click the little yellow icon (the one with the mountain) and copy the link in the screen that pops up.

If you uploaded your image to an online hosting service, like imageshack.us, then you should see that there are several links you can copy.

If you want it in thumbnail format, then copy the link in the "Forum Thumbnail" area.
If you want the raw file to show on your post, then copy the link in the "Direct Link" area and post it between image tags - by image tags, I mean pasting what you copied between
.

You could also use this free site: TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting

Click on 'browse'
Select the pic you want from your hard drive
Click on the 'resize' drop-down to select the size you want (usually 800x600 for here)
Click on 'upload now'
A box will appear that asks you to enter the two words. Do so, and click on 'upload now'
When your pic appears, block copy (Ctrl & C) the details in the second box down (IMG codes for forums and message boards)
Open 'post reply' on here and press 'Ctrl & V' and you pic appears, like so:

Pic is member 'Paulygates' at the UK MLP meet in May just before he went on and played a storming set!

Loading piccies works very easily.
