I have done just about everything possible to get the look and mojo of the originals.

I have RS Superpot/Bumblebees on order from Billy.

Anything else need to change?

Check out these comparison photos with my reissue next to the "real deal":

Sorry can't get the pics to show up. Tried using every one of the URL and HTML and anything else possible.

They are on photobucket. Can anyone help me out and let me know how to link the pics to the post?

Leave it out in the sun and let it fade a bit, maybe?

Looks great either way :thumb:

Now how the heck did you do that? and so fast?

Do you use the trackbacks? or attachments?
I clicked on your thumbnails, copied the image location, pressed the little Insert Image button, and pasted the image location.

Yep Historic Makeovers.... you need a top refin and Dave knows how to get that greenish tinge in the finish that you see in faded bursts, something you don't see in Historic's.

-OR-

you can just play the hell out of it.

HEY! That's a REAL one..!! LMAO

I was about to say "WOW, nice razor checking." LAMO

It's not a real one, and it's not a reissue. You should be able to figure the rest out for yourself.

Vintage PAT # Pickups or PAF's are an absolute must. Forget the looks. Get the sound.

And I will go with a Liam. Here is mine. Not a real 59, but not a Gibson either. Keep thinking. Blows any and every R9 clear out of the water.

Old Growth, Real PAF's, Braz, Eastern Maple, Correct Inlays, Hide Glue, No Truss Rod Condom......mmmmmm
