How clever is your music room design?

Not clever at all. I was just about to start working on a music room when that which can not be mentioned hit, so it's just a home office. Couple that with the fact that we're most likely going to buy a new house in the spring, and this is the way it will stay.

Nice room!

What's the colorful controller / sequencer / drum machine / arcade game / etc. which is situated dead center under your monitor?
Maschine Mk II. It shares the desk with an MPK249 right now.

I spent a fortune building a music room in my house in Denver. Had an isolated room in the basement. By isolated I mean “a room within a room”. I could crank my 30w amp and you couldn’t hardly hear it in the rest of the house. It was awesome.
Now I use a spare bedroom. I can’t crank the amp too high...even the 5w.

Here’s the thing though...I still play the same.

Except for being deaf? :D
I have some serious hearing issues, and that's only from a 65w solid state I used in open spaces for years. I can't imagine cranking 30w in a confined sound-proofed space.
I stick to a 1x12 4w tube now and it seems deafening.

Sadly what can be found a lot...even if you thought this picture was a good joke ;-)
That room actually belongs to a forum member and he's not going to be happy if he sees it posted... but he posted the picture originally, and what's on the internet is on the internet forever ;)

I need an Elvis painting... that one looks as good as any.
Also note....its a print
I can see why. That ceiling fan looks like the ones nobody buys in the bin of second-hand junk in the back of the ReStore shop over on 1st & Ft. Mc Gruder Lane.

@sonar1 ...... yours gotta go, too. ;)

Holy shit Martha....how's mine....??

Minus the drywall crack....:mad2:

It’s .... um.... period correct at least.

Swap out the swirl-glass globe and get some cool music-related pulls for the end of the chain. Like a note and a treble clef.

My ceiling-fan criticisms and recommendations come free of charge.

OK OK..... I’ll admit it..... it’s because of my own feelings of ceiling-fan inadequacies that I take it out on other people. I’m ashamed.

Not everyone lives where still air in the house is comfortable.
My place gets horribly stagnant if air is not moving.
The kitchen in particular, because it is pretty well closed in with cabinets over the peninsula, so the heat collects in there at head-height.
A small ceiling fan above the sink makes it much more pleasant.

Same for the big 52" fan in the dining room... helps move air around the whole 1st floor.

I installed the kitchen fan 2 years ago, and replaced the old dining room fan a few months later.
