I went to GC yesterday with one purchase in mind. I needed some medium picks.
I've been getting some rough edges on some I've been abusing and have been
going through some strings because of the rough edges on the side of my picks.

The plan was to have my better half drop me off there and then she'd go to the
store at the other end of the mall for a small list of groceries. I'd be waiting
out front of GC when she came back. She walked into GC just in time to find me
putting my credit card back in my wallet.

I could'nt help myself, as it was a "scratch and dent" stickered Ibanez,
(not a factory 2nd, but one that had a small blemish that occurred being played
in store). I really had to look hard to find the blemish .It was on the back
side next to the cavity cover.Very hard to see in photos. It's some very light scratches. They're very small and just in the topcoat, and I believe I can easily buff them out.
The greatly reduced price is why I bit.

It's not like I needed another JS model. I have several, although none with 24 frets. It's also not the muscle car orange one I've been wanting, but the price was very reasonable.
I've been playing it and recording with it almost non-stop since I got it.
It's an exceptional guitar, and I'm really liking the extra couple frets with the JS tone.

The soundcloud link is one I recorded recently with the new guitar. I threw in a few Satch licks as that seemed fitting for a new JS guitar.
Cheers.

HNGD. It was approved by Forest when I got home with it.

$1000 scratch in finish. My kind of guitar. Thanks to whomever did this. Saved me a bunch.
Sticker price on this same guitar was 2399 a few weeks ago. 1406 for me because of the scratch.
Actually 3 very small ones just below the cavity cover.

Pretty sweet man. And yes, saved you a fortune. They are $2399 and GC doesn't buge much anymore. Great find. I love the ja models had a 1000 black pearl really still want a 1200 candy apple. And your model they did recently in red that looks sick to. Awesome find brother. HNGD

Some very nice playing to my friend. I enjoyed listening.

Thanks so much for the kind comments gents, especially on my playing. This was bought 3 days prior to my birthday and I justified it by telling myself it was an early birthday present to myself. Then on my actual birthday my wife really shocked me. When I got home from work that day, there was Mr. Fender Twin Reverb sitting there. It has been on my wish list for quite some time. We usually only spend a hundred or two on each other for our birthdays and I felt this was way to much for her to spend so I paid for half. She's the real keeper. Great amp and it loves my pedals.
Cheers

Thanks for the kind comments gents. I'm loving this new guitar. I've had it almost a month and I'm still in the honeymoon phase with it. Great guitar. The used amp she bought me is wonderful as well. Great cleans and sounds great with my pedals. Apparently the prior owner had it modded at the factory back to blackface specs. I'm not sure what that means internally, but it sounds awesome. One complaint is the weight of the thing. I might have to invest in a set of casters for it. It's made of spent plutonium or something cause it's a nutbuster trying to lift from atop my rack to the back end of my truck. lol

No Dunlop wah? Its not complete

Wahs are very subjective when it comes to what they sound like. Ask 10 guitarists what there favorite wah is and your likely to get as many different answers. The reason I like the RMC Wizard Wah (Geoffrey Teese) on my board presently, is that the toe down position does not get too crispy/shrill like my Dunlops do. When I was using the Dunlops, I was always trying not to floor the toe down position as it was too shrill for my tastes. However what sounds good to me may not sound good to you.
The 535Q dialed back to its mildest settings was almost what I wanted, but still a little too much in the toe down position.

Cheers

I hate that they put the picks at the back of the store so you have to walk by all the guitars to get there. I don't think I've ever left that damn store without another guitar.

Great score!
