I went to GC yesterday with one purchase in mind. I needed some medium picks.
I've been getting some rough edges on some I've been abusing and have been
going through some strings because of the rough edges on the side of my picks.
The plan was to have my better half drop me off there and then she'd go to the
store at the other end of the mall for a small list of groceries. I'd be waiting
out front of GC when she came back. She walked into GC just in time to find me
putting my credit card back in my wallet.
I could'nt help myself, as it was a "scratch and dent" stickered Ibanez,
(not a factory 2nd, but one that had a small blemish that occurred being played
in store). I really had to look hard to find the blemish .It was on the back
side next to the cavity cover.Very hard to see in photos. It's some very light scratches. They're very small and just in the topcoat, and I believe I can easily buff them out.
The greatly reduced price is why I bit.
It's not like I needed another JS model. I have several, although none with 24 frets. It's also not the muscle car orange one I've been wanting, but the price was very reasonable.
I've been playing it and recording with it almost non-stop since I got it.
It's an exceptional guitar, and I'm really liking the extra couple frets with the JS tone.
The soundcloud link is one I recorded recently with the new guitar. I threw in a few Satch licks as that seemed fitting for a new JS guitar.
Cheers.

HNGD. It was approved by Forest when I got home with it.

$1000 scratch in finish. My kind of guitar. Thanks to whomever did this. Saved me a bunch.
Sticker price on this same guitar was 2399 a few weeks ago. 1406 for me because of the scratch.
Actually 3 very small ones just below the cavity cover.
