Guys, I keep reading through Burst Believers drooling but really I think Gibson are doing an amazing job with the re issues... especially post 2013... though even before that too.
I love mine... an Aged Skinnerburst (sounds truly amazing), an Aged & Signed Perry 59 (plays like butter, sounds amazing with vintage Marshall type amps), an AFD VOS (because it is the Les Paul that gave me the interest in the first place) and a 58 first standard Gloss which looks, sounds and plays fantastic but that I will be selling to fund an aged version eventually...

I bought this from a friend about 8 years ago. He had it for a while and it's an '02 all mahogany '58 RI. I asked Gibson to research it and they said it was a very limited release of maybe 10 or 20 in '02. My buddy bought it becasue it reminded him of the below guitar, a striped '57 all mahogany gold top. Also, my friend said the '02 came with Lollar Imperials. He put in a pair of PAF zebras for a photo shoot. After the shoot he played the guitar and swapped back the Lollars because they sounded better than the PAFs. It's a beast, very loud with a ton of bottom end.
