The juries are in deliberation with both the Boston Marathon Bomber and Aaron Hernandez cases here in Boston. I'd like to see guilty verdicts in both, Hernandez getting life and Tsarnaev with the federal death penalty. I would think the bomber case is a slam dunk, for life in prison anyway. But you never know in these high profile cases. Anyway, interesting stuff and a longtime coming. These things drag on forever.

The penalty phase is expected to begin next week.

Then the appeal phase, etc., etc. It hardly appeases the victims' families and loved ones. There may never be closure.

I'd just as soon see Tsarnaev cop a plea to avoid the death penalty-- life without parole in Federal supermax is a fate worse than death, and spares us the appeals process.

They ought to tie his parents and everything and everyone he ever cared about to some C4 and detonate it. Then, let the gators at him. One toe at a time.

From what I've read the Hernandez case is iffy but he has a second murder charge in another case that's a slam dunk. A former lawyer thought it was unusual that they were prosecuting this case first vs. the other.

Has anyone read the novel "Defending Jacob?" Written by a Boston attorney, the story is a good portrayal of how any murderer can get off, just as long as a good plan of defense inside and outside the courtroom (legal or illegal) is put into place.

The Aurora movie theater murderer trial is set to start fairly soon as well.

Now, I hope Tsarnaev gets the death penalty. But I suppose it doesn't matter much; he'll get killed in prison.

I'm sure there are some members of Whitey Bulger's old mob they could put him in with....
