To me it just looks like a house-made bobbin singlecoil, "just" missing the coil. And from the bridge, I'm guessing we're dealing with something exotic, far east most likely? Further identification is difficult without pics of the whole instrument.

thanks for the reply,actually its a 1962 epiphone garanda mods with two pickups I never see.

I can only speculate without seeing more detailed photos, inside and out, but pickups similar that were common on lap steels as far back as the early 1940s.

Someone could have modified an 8 string lap steel pickup to work in that guitar or just been inspired by the design and made their own. The poles look to be uneven and not aligned, from the photos - but that could just be camera tricks, too.

Thanks for your info,it‘s very helpful,I will take more detail photos once I got the guitar!
