HH harness - How do I get hum cancelling for inner or outer coils?

Hi,

Hope someone can help.

I am about to wire a HH harness for a DIY guitar.
Its a 2 humbucker, 1 tone, 1 volume and an on/off/on DPDT

I am going to make it so that the DPDT is outer coils / humbucker / inner coils.

I want the single coils to be hum cancelling when to played the same time.

I have a Suhr SSH+ and a Suhr SSV.

How can I do this? I have two different pieces of advice from two different sources so I am a bit confused!

Do I need to flip the magnet of 1 pickup and reverse the coils on on coil of one pickup like this:

or

do I simply need to turn one coil humbucker around so slugs and screws on both pickups are facing the same direction like this:

Try this. If you OK with soldering, it's pretty easy.

I understand it in my head now!

Basically: I need to flip the magnet (either flip it or spin it 180 degrees) and reverse the wires on one humbucker so the green is hot and that turns one of the humbuckers into a RWRP.

I just had an email from Suhr.
Apparently their neck and bridge pickups are already hum cancelling so I don't need to do anything!

Glad I didn't take my pickup apart!
