Just spoke with someone with a good contact inside Gibson and he knew nothing of any news like this. They are actively taking custom one-off and "Made to Measure" orders. They are in fact sitting on somewhere in the 500-1000 2017 reissue LP's with no release date yet. And as mentioned in other threads, they could wait until later in the year and as late as fall. They DO know that the market is saturated and maybe that's reason enough for the delay.
If they don't bring 'em out in 2017, they'll have to paint stingers on the back and re-do all the serial numbers to 2018.! lol!
I understand they have some of them made, but I'm saying making any more standard production R's. Take made 2 measure out of it. I'll still stand by what I said based on where it came from and consistent among 3 people. Store owners and a former very popular gibson employee.
The number they have made is what they should sell every year, if not less. They should just wait a few years and them bring them back once the oversaturation is gone, or better at least.
