Hello guys Some people tell me that i need some PA system for make that the talkbox works but is there something different and more simple? thanks guys
the dunlop is placed between your amp and speaker... the rocktron is placed like a typical pedal... I do not know which one sounds better (I assume that the dunlop does) but I only trust high end attenuators between my amp and speaker due to the problems that occur if your tube amp is not seeing the speaker impedence... I own the banshee and it is good enough for me to use. There is also "ghetto" talk boxes that look like fun projects (youtube them).
The Banshee would be the way to go, especially considering that it operates as an independent pedal. I used to have a Heil TB, and it was a PITA to setup without a PA (I used two amps, due to limited space). The only thing that sucked was that even though the driver was rated at 8ohms/100w, my 40w Marshall completely kicked it's ass (blew the driver)!
Funnily enough, I replaced the driver with a car-stereo speaker, and it sounded exactly the same. I eventually sold it for $20, and have been seriously thinking about the Banshee.
My cover band plays out every weekend, and I use my Heil talk box alot....I use a Marshall Lead 12 head into the talk box. Tube into my vocal mic...old school.....
I have the input of the Marshall Lead 12 connected to an A/B/Y box, so I can choose just 'guitar', just 'talk box', or a combination of both (like on "Man In The Box" or "Walk This WaY"

I would advise against using a talk box with a tube amp....tube amps don't like being disconnected from their speaker loads...
IMHO, the best 'tone' for a talk box is the cheapest, trashiest tone you can get...alot more character....
