I guess the avt mainly because it still has some tube to it. The MG and the frontman from personal experience are both terible.

Haven't we been through all this before?:hmm:
Frontman and MG are nearly crap.
Wassahap, exactly how much money do you have in your possession to spend? Not Monopoly money or money you hope to have, but cash in hand right now? That figure will be a great help in recommending an amp to you. If we're dreaming, then go for a Marshall stack. Realistically, I'd bet you're in the Crate 65-watt combo territory, which ain't bad amps for the money.

P.S. Instead of posting another batch of silly threads in your second reincarnation, just pay attention to what goes on around here for a while.

Or instead of a stack, he could go for a good combo like a blues jr or vox ac15. If he doesnt plan on gigging, what the point of a stack?

I'd go for a good solid-state amp like perhaps a 30 watt Line 6. Solid state amps are very durable and light in weight, and not prone to damage from curious fingers.

For that much, you can get a pretty good used tube amp. Or new, you could get a 5w tube or a hybrid amp.

Well durability I dont really care about. And I heard solid states are really shitty for Les Paul types.

There are some good SS amps, but not the line 6. I had one and returned it within a week. The Roland cube is the best SS amp Ive ever played in that price range. Plus with that you get the effects capabilities.

Could you find me a used tube amp under 300? Because I've searched and found nothing.

In general, but not the Roland cube. Forgot my amp once to band practice, so I played through my friends ROland cube 60 watt and it was an awesome amp.

There ya go again, Wassahap....you're arguing and not listening. You want an amp that is NOT durable?

I have a Line 6 Spider II 75 watt 1x12 that sounds great and is a lot of fun to play around with since it has all kinds of effects.
