Becky (SSL) is on the market to buy a gaming PC.

She has a budget of around $650

I know its a lot of PC gamers and PC builders here at MLP so I thought I would see what you guys recommend.

She likes to run second life, sim games, and other online games. If she had a PC that would power it, she would probably play other games (elder scrolls, ect)

So... that being said,

What PC would you guys recommend? She wants something thats ready to go right out of the box.

Thank you in advance for your help and knowledge! =D

Oh..Good.. If she gets gaming she can join our squadron. and fly an RAF Spitfire.. That's if she can say 'Tally Ho chaps' without an American accent.. :laugh2:

'Stick back gal...5 g's and tight wing over'.

This could be your chance to bounce Vasco in his ME110 chip fryer.

Don't worry we have the helmet and goggles for you.. Just don't get distracted by a shoe shop on Dover high street.

'Loose sight and loose the fight'..

I've read lots of books...I enjoy reading, the problem is I read so fast that my books are done in a day or two...and I run out of books.

I need a new book

But games...they are always there for when I need something to do :laugh2:

I have a friend that does a lot of PC gaming. He's getting an Alienwear computer next.

I would suggest that, or a custom built one with the graphics, sound, and other chips and boards of her choosing.

Those are my two suggestions.

I have an Alienware X17 laptop the most powerful
gamming laptop going, but it cost me $2,500
never going to spend that much on a computer again

i owned an alienware back in the hey day of my childhood when i still played video games, thing had sexier graphics that any playstation i've come across, and it was all set up out of the box.

two problems, price, and it breaks down constantly, like a high octane nine ouwl, it's pushed all the time so it needs to crap out all the time.

good luck on the search

IMO Alienwares are a ripoff. Sure they are good, but you can build a much more powerful PC for the price. That's what I did with my gaming PC.

Quad Intel i7 Processors @ 4.2 ghz
Twin Geforce 8800 Ultras in SLI
8 GB DDR3 Ram
1 TB HDD
OCZ 750w Power Supply

All for $2200. Though my buddy got me deals on it through his shop.

Anyways Bling, that PC you listed the specifications of sounds pretty good and will play what she wants. If you do get it, it's a 64-bit system. Every computer program made works on 32-bit machines, but some don't work on 64-bit machines. Also, make sure that computer has a good Power Supply, or else the computer won't have enough power to be pushed hard for games like Elder Scrolls.

Just thought I'd throw that out there. Feel free to shoot me a PM if you got any questions.
