Hi,
This is purported to be an old Love-Rock rebadged as a Les Paul. Any suggestions as to validity appreciated. The bridge has me confused - I can't find anything like it (metric with holes in posts - can't even find a conversion adaptor like it). Trying to do as much research as possible before stepping out into the apocalypse. I'm hoping to have clear photo's of cavities and headstock tonight.

If it might be an old Tokai I have no problem with that and 'unbadging it'. But if it's a Chibson it needs to go under a truck.
Cheers,
Rob.

I can never find thumb bleeders that fit under witch hats after market. That’s cool.

That could be almost anything that has been refinished after the headstock break ? And new hardware etc. Need to see what's in the cavities. Pups and electronics cavities. It looks like a whole lot of yikes right now though.

Looks like it could be a Faber Tone Lock bridge…

Yep I think you're onto it there- thanks! Yes the guitar is a bit of a dog's breakfast, but it intrigues me. So to fit that Faber it must have a Nashville bridge, which would put it down the economy end of the Tokai line. ...or still Chibson.

I was also going to say Faber Tone Lock although there is a similar style bridge in Japan that I want to say is called Freedom.

I suppose the truss rod type would answer the Chibson question? I dunno anything about them other than them pretty much always have a 4mm or so hex head for adjustment, Tokai would be like a Gibson adjustment. The bridge looks Faber to me and the Freedom bridge is something I just learned about ;) Roxy knows many things and is pretty reliable.

They have a picture where the serial would be? I think the chibson always fakes that, and a "rebranded" other brand would lack that bit. As far as bridge, looks like a Faber type or as Roxy said. Locking.

Also why was the Tom post moved? Notice the extra hole?
There's another hole south of the tailstop on the bass end.
It likely had a Bigsby installed at some point.
