Help finding aftermarket White pick-guard, tenon cover, control cavity plate, etc for ‘61 SG Standard?

Hey all,

I recently purchased a SG Standard ‘61.
I love the guitar but wanted to do some cosmetic customizations.

Specifically, I was looking for a wide-beveled 5-Ply white pick-guard, white tenon cover and a white control cavity plate.

I’ve looked everywhere online for them and not had much luck finding anything…
Creamtone seemed like a promising lead until I read all the negative feedback about the business going defunct and not fulfilling orders. Real shame.

Are there any other good resources to find custom aftermarket parts like this?

I wish I could just get the OEM stuff from Gibson, but I have no idea how to order custom shop parts from them — and I doubt they even sell them separately.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

WD Music. They can do any pickguard you can name, in any color combination available.

If you don't see it, ask. They might not have it listed or it requires some custom work.

I think your issue is that white only came with the SG Custom....and even then the TRC and cavity plates were black. As such trying to get the latter 2 would be an entirely 1-off proposition (and therefore possibly prohibitively expensive)

Mojoaxe is another custom plastics maker who does a lot of more 1-off work than most.

Aftermarket is fine. Like you said, OEM is unlikely without a connection at Gibson

Aftermarket will also be an issue for the same reasons I mentioned. It's not a regular colour so not many (or nobody) will make them.
For example, I've never ever seen a Gibson shaped trussrod cover in white - anywhere

Kinda strange to me the lack of custom aftermarket options for the SG — especially with it being Gibson’s best selling model.
