If I were you I'd find a battered norlin with an indestructible maple neck and volute.

I have one, but I'd need to find another one hehe
Too costly for the use I will give to her.

Can I ask a friendly question? Assuming you said yes here it is... Are you REALLY gonna buy what this stupid poll suggests? Or are you just board and figured you would start a poll?

I ask cause there are sooooo many factors involved in the purchase of anything.. This I am 100 percent sure you know... So, we are just having a discussion about what OTHER PEOPLE like in guitars? Yes? Cause really, when it comes down to it, you will decide when you play them....right?

Yes, we are talking about what we like in guitars. That's what the forum is about :)
Just wanted to know if people with experience with these particular models have something good or bad to say about them.
My LPs and my V are not like the ones I can get now, and never got an Explorer.

And yes, I will decide what guitar I get. The poll is just for fun.

You see no point, but my paranoia and the nasty places where I am allowed to play makes me uncomfortable to take my beloved babies. :laugh2:

For me, there are "A" shows and "B" shows.

Just because you ask, my current guitars are:
-71' LP Custom (with PAFs)
-75' LP Standard (with PAFs)
-82' The V (with Dirty Fingers)
-95' Strat Plus (with Gibson humbuckers)
-95' Custom Shop LP Classic (with PAFs)

I've taken the Plus and The V live several times, but I feel uncomfortable because you can never keep an eye in all your rig at the same time: amp, cabs, cables, wha, guitar, car, mic, stand, bag, wallet...

I also got another amp for "B" shows :D

I guess I can understand that to some extent but I'd prefer to use the best tools for the job and it seems like you already have the tools needed here ;) I know that feeling of paranoia in some of the hell hole clubs. How about having abuddy come and watch over your stuff? I used to do that all of the time...they think its cool that they get to hang around the stage :slash:

I honestly don't know why people buy guitars but don't play them.

To each is own. :)

If the guitar is rare, or has sentimental value, or some folks collect and just want them to be pristine I can understand not playing them, especially live.

My LP Custom was number six of six made of a limited run. I pull it out once in a while and plug it in and play it gently while sitting down. My Classic Custom and SG Standard get the majority of playing.

Don't get me wrong, guys.
I collect, but I play all my guitars on a regular basis.

I spend a lot of time on rehersals and at home. I enjoy playing live, but the pre and post show makes me nervous. Usually you have to park faaaaaar away the pub.

I almost closed a deal. Will let you know the winner tomorrow!
