Help ASAP Please Should i trade my 2003 goldtop std. for a 76 Custom?

should i trade mt 2003 Les paul standard goldtop for a 76 black w/ nickel hardware les paul custom? (keep in mind i already own a black w/ gold hardware 97 Custom)

the goldtop is fine but im just not really feeling the goldtop finish so ive been looking to trade it for another LP
what do you guys think? thanks in advance

This is the second thread I've seen in the past week over these trades. I hope y'all aren't just trading guitars blindly....Granted, I love my Norlin, but a lot of things can happen to a guitar that's been in existence for over 30 years....

If you like it more than the Std., then go for it. Simple as that.

its hard to say. i know the 76 weighs a metric ton as compared to the 03

if thats Ok for you and you like it and its in good shape (not needing frets) i see no issues

I've heard from many people that 70's LPs were made of shitbox wood and the majority of them sound like ass. With that said, unless you can try it out beforehand, I'd pass on it.

back in my dad's day, the '75 deluxe kicked the living shit out of every other guitar that even tried to compare tone-wise


At least that's what he, and his old tapes say :dude:
