Hello,
I'm new to Les Paul style guitars.
I just bought an Epiphone Les Paul standard plus top pro.
It's a honey burst finish.
I purchased it from Sweetwater on line.
I've always been into stratocasters, but decided I wanted to try something new.
Here's a photo.

Thanks for the Welcome!
Yes it does look pretty.
However having been a strat player for over twenty years I'm having a hard time getting used to playing the LP.
It's balance is quite different, as is the shorter fretboard.
But I'm looking for a different type of guitar for a new experience. So I chose the EPI LP because it didn't cost very much. Plus it has great reviews as to its quality and sounds.
So far it is beautifull, and seems to be of excellent quality. But, I havent achieved the sounds I'm after though.
To be honest, it does need some quality strings and a good setup.

:welcome:to MLP!!!

Great opening post too! :applause:

They all need a good setup and the right strings... comes with the ownership.

Also have to consider the rest of the chain when searching for your sound.

Amps, pedal effects, and accessories is a deep rabbit hole to go down, but the search can be a lot of fun.. :jam:

and get expensive!!:eek2:

You've been warned! :laugh2:

Welcome to MLP !! :welcome:

I have that same model PTP ( from Sweet H20 as well )
(switched tuners to classic tulips and the plastic to black)

It stays tuned to Open G full time

Plenty of folks here who can, and will, answer any question you could possibly think of inre Les Pauls !!
