I am addicted to reverb.com. I find myself constantly scouring for new pedals in my feed. I have an obsession with overdrive pedals. In the last two weeks I have purchased a fulltone OCD, EWS Brute Drive, Lovepedal Kalamazoo gold, Lovepedal purple plexi, Klon KTB, pedal masters overdrive, MXR Custom 78 distortion, zoom PD-1, Boss SD-1, and TC flashback and hall of fame. I figured I will give a little insight on a few of them. I ran these through a JCM 800 with 1960ax cab and a 1987x through a 1960 bhw. As for the overdrives/distortion , for the money the fulltone is your best bet. For around 100 dollars it's hard to beat. The sd-1 and zoom are good but not on the same level as the others. The Purple Plexi was my absolute favorite and is just amazing through the JCM 800. The klon was the best all round performing overdrive out of the bunch but has a huge price tag. The Lovepedal Kalamazoo was the hotter of the overdrives (not including the purple plexi which is a distortion). It has a glass knob on it which is like a presence. Really smooth. The pedal monster and the brute drive were really good as well but out of all of these is I had only too pick one. It's the OCD. But if you can afford and find a purple plexi. Buy it!!!!!!!!!! It's like have 3 great Marshalls in a stomp box. I hope this is helpful too anyone with a similar rig to mine that was looking at any of these.

Reverb is evil, especially the "accept offers" feature.

That JCM800 really, really needs an Ibanez ts808 tubescreamer.A re-issue ts-808 overdrive pro will work fine,it doesn't have to be an original for mondo$.Turn up the overdrive and output on the box, with decent amount of preamp drive and master volume and that amp will sing, sustain, crunch and feedback till the cows come home.Thick.Its a benchmark tone.

trust me;)

Reverb is evil, especially the "accept offers" feature.

There's a pedal I've been looking at for a little bit. The seller listed it at $100.00. I offered $70.00, he countered $85.00. I said no, but if he changes his mind he should let me know. I've had a couple instances where the sellers gave in. If he doesn't go for it it'll be fine.

One thing that really helps the buyer with Reverb is they tell you how long the item has been for sale. In my case it's been listed for 3 months so there's always a good chance the seller just wants to be done with it.

Sticky and epic threads do more to kill a forum than any trolling I've experienced. We can accept some redundancy, especially when they're kind of funny or have a new angle, like the Reverb phenomena.

Between Xmas and NYE it got to the point where I was purposely going really low with my offers, and they (private party and stores) were still accepting! I had to take a step back. The most serious GAS binge I've had in a dozen years.

Dude never got back to. I'm actually relieved about it, but it would have been a good pedal at a good price.

Anyway today was a really rough day. This last two weeks have worn me out. I have no idea when I'm going to get a chance to really dig into some jammage, but I think I'm gonna hit up reverb and not leave until I buy a new pedal!!!!!

Now I know how women feel when they buy shoes to cheer them up :)

Okay, I couldn't resist. I made two offers on pedals :).

Here's hoping I'm gonna have two NPD threads going on soon.
