I'm new here! I'd just like to say hello to one and all! I've been in love with the LP even before I knew what it was called! I hope to learn and recieve further enlightenment on this special musical instrument here. I've briefly glanced through this fine forum and find it very classy and extremely cool so far! I'm a big Fender fan but Gibson has always had a warm spot on my heart and soul. As of this writing I only have one Gibson LP, but I plan on acquiring more in the future. I believe my next Gibson I get will be an SG.

This old boy has a Cinammon 1998 Gibson Les Paul Special SL with humbuckers. Rosewood on the neck. The rest of the guitar is all mahogany. It is a very loud guitar. I need to wipe it down right now it is dirty. You can see a picture of it on my avatar. It is the one on the left. I was using it at a jam session on Friday with the smaller of the two amps I have on the picture. The amp is a 94 tweed Fender Pro Junior.(That's the one I used the other night) The bigger one on the right is a brand new 2009 tweed Fender Blues Junior. (Made in Mexico) The Pro Junior is one of the original ones and it's made in Brea, California, USA. Both amps are cool though! The guitar on the right is an American Fender Statocaster Deluxe two-tone tobacco sunburst with a soft V-neck.
