Headstock Trademark

I am looking to have a burst replica made, but being in Ireland I will probably look for a luthier in Britain or the States. If I was getting a replica made, can I use the Gibson headstock design? I wouldn't be using the Gibson logo, I just like the shape of the headstock. Is this legal?

No, but if you have a unique name put on it, there will be no problems.

Nowadays I think you could get a replica without the logo, what you do after you purchase it is up to you.

You may have a hard time finding someone to do it, but ya never know...times are tough.

You will not find these floating around on Ebay and nobody in their right mind will advertise them on a website. Think of it as a black market.
Even celebrities that want a clone of their real vintage guitars have to go through these channels. You just have to find the channels.

Email, telephone, referral.
Talk to somebody about their replica and ask for an introduction or referral.
There are people here that you could ask. Look at the build threads and check out the work they do.
If you like it, ask them if they will build one for you.
Some of these guys will only build for themselves but you might get lucky.
I am not saying that they wil do a headstock or logo that will infringe on a copyright, but they might leave the headstock and or logos up to the buyer to finish.

Warmoth (Warmoth Custom Guitar Parts - Custom bass and guitar bodies, necks, pickups, pickguards and hardware) makes/sells necks with just about every headstock shape imaginable, including Gibson. I only see references to a license agreement with Fender regarding body and headstock shapes, so I don't know how they legally make and sell necks with other manufacturer's headstocks, but they do.

Old growth honduran with headstock shape correct, traditional trussrod, waiting for your fingerboard. Set neck design.
$275.00< this I think is reasonable.
