Ok, enough hijacking of another thread. As you may have noticed, I am not a proponent of Epiphone's current head-stock design. To me, it is a Gibson design with clipped wings, unlike Epiphone's earlier design. But that is *my opinion*. Feel free to post your own, but lets keep it civil and respect everyone's opinion.
As much as I love the Gibson open book design, I think it should revert back to the early Epiphone design. It's close enough to the Gibson open book and part of Epiphone's heritage.
My question pertains to the current headstock on the current Les Paul Lineup (which I believe is the "clipped wing" design), and not other Epihone models past or present. I am referring to what Epiphone is currently manufacturing, not discontinued stock still being sold in markets around the world or used models available on Ebay etc.
