Oh, I hate that. I drive my wife nuts because my actual texts are all in proper English with punctuation and capitalization. She's an English professor and while she's normally a huge proponent of the Queen's English, even she thinks that text-speak is OK as long as it's only used in texts. LOL

I come from a Mustang family. Unfortunately, none of us have owned any Shelby Cobras, yet... But we've all had plenty of Mustangs.

I remember Ultimate Guitar. I was on there for a minute. Saw people getting ripped off on guitar deals and just being pricks in general. I found this place and never looked back. If HC was anything like that, I'm glad I never went there.
By the way, just to clarify, I've only had a couple Squires and Epiphones. I don't know squat about guitars.....

HCEG was actually quite the opposite. People that ripped others of were shunned severly. More often than not, when a forum member was in need, we rallied and pulled together money and whatnot to help. Some guys also did raffles and contests, with the winners getting guitars and other stuff. I actually won a Strat bridge in one contest. Also, there was a thread where guys and gals that had stuff laying about that they didn't need and gave it away for free. I was personally on both the giving and receiving end of that.

It's really a good group of people. I sure as heck hope that HC doesn't destroy such a great community.
