Traditional my friend, I'm somewhat biased though!!

I've just discovered from pictures that the Trad has a 2 pieces body while the Std. is probably one.

Not a big issue but I would like to have a one piece body...:Ohno:

It varies, could be 2 or 1. But it makes no difference, good guitars can be found with both.

I like the Iced Tea burst color as much as the Tobacco Burst. So Get the Traditional Plus in iced Tea instead of a standard, you'll end up liking it more ;)

Well, my 2008 LP actually is neck heavy when strapped up. How's that for a LP? Unreal. That's the never mentioned downside of chambering. Sling it and it's easier on the back but you're left hand has to do the heavy lifting. I find it is kinda unbalanced, as it tends to drop down on the neck. For a LP, that's weird.

Hmmm. My 2008 is not neck heavy. It seems to have a nice balance, for me.
Maybe it's the type of strap? I use a 2 1/2 inch leather strap.
Just curious though.

I haven't heard/read many people complain about it being neck heavy.
I have heard/read more people complain about the neutrik jack though.

What I like in Standard: asymmetric neck could be more comfortable, long tenon is a nice feature

The "could" in there is the answer.

If you haven't played it then we can't possibly help with your decision.

Forget about the tenon.... I challenge anyone to tell the difference in feel or tone due to the tenon length.

Play them both and then the answer should be obvious to you.

If you are hung up on things like one pc body, tenon length etc. My recommendation is to save your pennies for a historic.

Seems like a win-win. You either get a Standard or a Traditional - score!:thumb:
