Come to think of, that's about what my 21st birthday ended up like...

Thanks guys and gals! Today I am 59, and i don't feel much older than I did when I was 58... it's remarkable...

For laughs, I'll tell ya:

There's this kid who is a cashier at a nearby convenience store. I chat with the guy when I see him, and if there's no business besides myself for him to deal with, sometimes we talk for several minutes at a time.

So I told this kid that I turned 59 today. He congratulated me, told me that my coffee was on the house, and then we lapsed into our usual chit-chat.

Suddenly, this kid asks me if I knew how long a cubit was. After verifying that he was asking about the Bronze Age measurement, I told him that a cubit is generally believed to have been between 18 and 22 inches.

He said, "I knew you'd know that!" and I asked him why...

He smirked and said, "Well, you're 59... so I was pretty sure that you were around back when they were still using them!"

Little smartass. I don't know why I talk to that kid...
