Happy Birthday to Lester William Polsfuss June 9th, 1915.

My friends and I went to see him on June 1, 2009. We tried for a long time to get it worked out, and finally got it done. We were bummed to learn that the following week was going to be his birthday show. He ended up going home after the show we saw, getting sick, and never playing again. He was dead a few weeks later. We saw the very last show. I am sure glad we didn’t wait one more week.

Man with the street name "French" slips a roofie to Les Paul at a concert. Mr. Polsfuss would never see the stage again and passes away.

I saw him once at the Iridium and Steve Miller also went on stage for a few tunes. It was great. He signed the Les Paul Legacy book for me.
