I'd figure it's worth a shot to ask here but I recently did a fret level and crown for a customer on his 1993 Classic premium plus and his frets had been very uneven with lots of wear. Not only that it sure looked like whoever worked on the guitar only leveled the frets and were really squared "box" style.
I've recommended a refret and possibly new nut but I don't have the skills or knowledge to do that job nor will I even attempt. Also I don't know of any shop and he's doesn't want to ship or drive very far. We both are located in the Ventura county area just north of Los Angeles.
Last night I did a quick search and came across Carruthers guitars and is only 25 minutes away. Has anyone had any work done by them and was it to satisfactory?
