The Guitar as fetish- I love the gizmos. Smelling the tubes in my Silvertone 1391 -ORIGINAL SILVERTONE tubes from 1958 with my '60s Premier "verb tank atop-grab ANY guitar- yesterday it was my 2000 AM STD Tele- plugged into BIG BOX Memory Man- Transmissor+ Park FUZZ+ Hoof FUZZ.

Playing full songs+standing up- like a gig- staying in shape. HOLY FEZZ-lovely tones-from Maggotbrain-Bakersfield- clean+somewhat dirty+STACKED FUZZ----endless variations. We are given GREAT tools to work with-ancient amps and modern FUZZ-never in my dreams did I think I would have ENDLESS gear.............

I thought I had the PERFECT loop of my song Cicada Sam- odd timed drone about a locust boy. I listened- I can do BETTER- so- for next 4 months before I go back into digital studio< I have been recording Reel-reel stuff-TAKES FOREVER-my engineers are farmers-VERY BUSY- still LOVE the analog- will record Paint it FEZZ on tape<<<<digital studio=2 days- RECORD done- I didn't even mix+masterDevil Drinks- record -hit button-play usually nail EVERYTHING in 1 take. I'll take my PERFECT Cicada Sam loop with me------

Then took a HOT bath-listened to The Wall- GREAT stuff-could've been perfect but-ZERO HUMOR- Poor Roger+over and over-Gilmour is decent- I listen to him-flows+fine R player-his tone is SCREETCHY- dirtier than people think- I think- I want that tone----then"No, I don't. I want FEZZTONE."

Wall continues- I start dreaming up a "concept" album- mine will have humor+pathos-need both

in my head....

"OK, we can do a concept album about Phillies 70's pitcher Wayne Twitchell having an "encounter" with a BIG GREEN BUG-BIG GREEN BUG steals Wayne's Corvette-"washes" the memory from Wayne-------

See? Why do I LOVE Electric guitar? Because of the gates they open- sound+words---together---

I also thought about getting one of these

This will get those Keith Richards "overdriven acoustic " sounds. I'm allowed to covet Keith tones-we're both primitives-

Hell, I'm going to run another bath- get even more Guitar ideas---like shooting fish in a tub.

Take a look at Reverend Guitars. They are very cool, and affordable.

I love my '60s Premier "verb tank. One of my greatest less expensive purchases ever!
pmonk- mine is subtle in a way-very reactive-pluck hard get a nice BOOMY amp about to blow up sound+the circuit adds to it- many of these devices add faerie dust. I love Verb- I have new JHS $99 one+ I'm getting this.
