How do you guys handle storing all of your guitar cases? I've seen a few racks you can buy but they seem quite expensive. I like to keep my LP's in their cases but my wife is sick of having cases all over the place.

Keep them lined up nicely on your man cave, and since she will see some sense of order in lining them she'll stop bitchin'. The hardcases you see there are actually on a 7 rack Rockstand guitar stand. Mind you it's a not a stand for cases, but for uncased guitars. Still cases sit nicely ( it will hold around 5 cases give and take, depending on wheter its acoustic or electric) and it stops them from pressing directly to the wall and damaging the tatami flooring. The semi hard cases on each end are not lying on the stand.

I have a couple of those metal wire shelving units from Home Depot or Lowes, can't recall which, and have them bolted to the wall. They work great and come in various sizes. I bought the larger ones and they fit about 7 or 8 cases per shelf. I'll snap a pic when I get home from work in the morning.

Consider hanging your guitars from the wall and keep the cases in the attic.

This is an old pic, but here is the rack my dad built. He gave me this one when he started building double deckers. Now I'm just down to enough cases that fits on the rack.

I use a pax wardrobe from Ikea. Kinda pricey at $600 bucks but I bought it for it's intended use to store clothes and just adjusted the shelves to store around 10 cases and 4 amp heads when the room was converted to a music room. It's tidy, works great and no dusting required.

It's just this kinda shelving from Lowe's. Shop Style Selections 74-in H x 48-in W x 18-in D 5-Tier Steel Freestanding Shelving Unit at Lowes.com

That looks like the back room of a Guitar Centre. I have a ex bank safe that I got off CL. Only fits 4 though. When I'm not playing , my good ones go in there. I've been broken into before and lost a guitar and almost a few more later on so as much as I want to have them out and/ or hanging on the wall, it's not happening. It only takes once guys.

Hello old thread! Anyway, here's my "guitar" and wires rack, it's a golf rack and it holds 4 cases. The price was right at the local DAV thrift store for $15.00!

I built deep shelves underneath the basement stairs.
They are holding 24 guitars, plus room on the floor with bins for cables, PA stands, mic stands etc.
