With all those upgrades, wasn't that an extreme deal for the winning bidder?

I'd say that was a deal and a half. Damn. Gord Miller does some nice work. He finished/relicd my Tele:

A lot of people don't understand a stock Gibson could use a lot of help and they shy away from Gibson's with aftermarket parts.

I'll let you guys know when it comes in ;)

what can i say... I'm a sucker for aged goldtops.

I can't wait to play with the pagebucker wiring. should be interesting having so many tone options in an LP

seriously, I didn't think I'd get that good a deal. This guitar is probably worth more in parts. altogether, it makes an incredibly sweet deal.

I actually saw it on the bay whilst looking to see if there were any vintage clone parts out there. :) it just so turned out that all these VC parts came with a pretty kick ass goldtop attached. Shep sent me some high res pics that I'd requested and I was sold on it. Gord does some pretty cool work, and this is a hell of a package deal. when you count up all the aftermarket, all the vintage, the refin, and the original wood.... this thing sold for TONS less than its worth in parts and labor.

I've heard great things about the Sheptone pickups too, so it'll be nice to have a guitar that I don't have to upgrade anymore... well, chances are really good that this thing will get HM inlays pretty soon. That'll be the 6th set i've installed....
