$725 sounds a lot high. I paid $650 for my Elitist '57 Gold Top with Seth Lover pups and a RS Guitarworks wiring kit and the OHSC. I realize that I was lucky to find such a great bargain, but it goes to show that there are deals out there to be found. That guitar at that price is not one of them.

$725 is a rip. The 57 GT's with Gibson 57 Classic P/U's, Switchcraft Toggle and Mallory caps, push/pull tone pots (the same electronics as the Tribute and Tribute Plus) sold new for $499. No HSC but still a good value. They're a little scarce but one shows up on ebay occasionally.

Agreed.
$725 is a little high.
I paid €500 for mine new with case.
It was also €200 less than the Slash.
I guess that the case and the Slash logo cost €200 more, mmm...

I have recently seen Slash GT's listed on Kijiji for $700. I have only seen a couple used US Classic GT's, both times for $600. $725 is high, but most people list high so they have room to bargain.

I've noticed that prices tend to run about $100 or so higher on used Epis here in Canada when compared to the US. If it's a local sale and you can try it out first and save shipping, and duty costs if buying from the US, it works out to about the same cost in the end. But even with all that figured in, that price is way too high for that guitar and there are better deals to be found.

this reminded me of a korean made '57 GT LP that I put SD JB and SD Jazz pups in, I wish I hadn't sold it a few years ago...

Thanks for the help guys, but he's trying to downsize so no trades, and I just spent $500 on car repairs and will have to spend another $250 at least tomorrow, so no extra cash,

oh well

The guitar is an hour and a half drive from my place and I'm building a Gilmour-ish Black Strat partscaster this month already
