Greco help????

Hey guys, looking for a bit of advice on a Greco Custom for sale on ebay' that I'm more than interested in? I've messaged the seller for some info with regards to age??? Unfortunately there is no serial number so he cannot answer the question??? To all you Greco experts out there? does this guitar look genuine??? and can anyone give a rough estimate on age??? The fretboard looks a little light to me? may just be the the pic???

Pictures aren't much to go on, it doesn't look old but that doesn't mean its not, you could ask for cavity shots/electronics. The only real way to tell. It could be one of the newer cortek made greco's but i really can't say. Perhaps a Greco expert can help you more. Ask for more pics as mentioned.

Perhaps you could stall a bit? There's a couple real experts on here, in USA they get off work in about 3 to 6 hours.

The reason I know what I do is, I almost considered buying one of those split bar Customs 2 years ago. They come in at least 3 or 4 flavors. Late 80's open o were good ones. In 1990 to 1991 the open o's ... some were made by Tokai, and some were made in Korea. The square-ish nut was always on the Korean models.

As far as I can recollect, they started the closed o in 1992. There's always a possibility someone put a squarish nut on there. See if you can stall for a day or two. If it's a good price on a good Custom hate to see you lose out.

Yep, I'd avoid it , look at the nut looks Korean Cor-tek one. Plenty of Grecos turn up and that's priced too high for what it is.

Mr Teeny is right. £395 ($632) is too much. £300-310 would be reasonable if it doesn't have playability issues. It really does appear to be Korean comparing to that other monstrosity.

It does have a rosewood fb instead of the cheesy black plastic fb, which means it is a better one.
