I'll start off with "Pronounced Leh-Nerd Skin-nerd" By Lynyrd Skynyrd.

This album has such amazing diversity, and there isn't a bad song on it. Simple Man, Gimme Three Steps, Freebird... it doesn't get any better than that!

What do you think...

2 of the 3 songs you mentioned were not originally on that album. They were added in 2001 on the reissue.

You guys are stealing my thunder:

Boston
Van Halen
Appetite for Destruction
Pearl Jam "Ten"

Tesla's "Mechanical Resonance" was really good but probably down on the list from the epic nature of the first 4 I listed. Those are absolute monsters IMO - Especially Boston and V.H.

Thunder stolen also :D

Big +1 for the following, in order -

Boston
Van Halen
Pearl Jam "Ten"

Remember seeing Van Halen on their first tour in the U.K. in 1978 supporting Black Sabbath. Incredible - felt sorry for Sabbath having to follow that!

Also, thinking about it "Black Sabbath" was one hell of a debut too..

Greatest debut album of all time?? ALL OF THEM!

Think about it...years of learning an instrument, forming bands, writing and recording the raw emotion that you've put in over the years, while knowing that a dozen record companies can't wait to tell you NO!

WTF do you follow THAT up with? :hmm:

Sorry Bud, OP is correct. Got the original album from 73 in front of me. It has all three: Simple Man, Gimme Three Steps, Freebird.
