Sad but true. I saw Tom Petty in '96 in Hamburg then haven't an eye on later shows.
Decided not to go to a late 2010 Mojo-Tour because the area in front of the stage have seats all over. :wtf:
Didn't make it to a danish festival later... :dunno:
Sad and now hes gone. R.I.P. Tom.

But when it's gettin dark there sometimes comes light you won't expect.
Tomorrow i went to Berlin to see Jack White with the Raconteurs.
Last years Boarding-House-Reach--Tour was stunning. :dude:

The Band but with no Robbie. Still was great. Levon and Danko killed it...everyone was awesome...full horn section too.

In 1986 I saw Cliff Burtons last concert with Metallica in Solna/Stockholm ..

One funny thing was that James cable had come lose (or something) ,
so there was no sound from his guitar at the start of the intro song :run:
(Battery, if i remember right) ,
o'boy the expression on his face !!
Kirk however, saved the day, by quickly covering for James untill he got his act together.

I've been a Soundgarden fan since the 90s, and I only got to see them live once, on their last tour :(

RIP Chris Cornell. Someday I'll own one of his signature 335's

I got to see Rolling Stones before they broke up.

Then I saw them again before they broke up again.

There was also a third time, I think, but, I don't think they have broke up since that time.

I have to admit.
I went the last two times just because others dropped out of going, and the people going were fun.

Rolling Stones concerts have always been underwhelming and meh to me.
Whatever hype there is about the Rolling Stones, they don't live up to it.
Not live, in concert.
Definitely NOT worth the ticket price.

I think I saw the very last Van Hagar show.
It was the second night in Honolulu, and it was the last show of the tour. Then they broke up.
Good show.
Bass solos are perfect for beer runs.

You know . . . I never really considered VanHalen when I thought about this thread.

But you are right.

I saw the last David Lee Roth/Van Halen, 1984 concert.

It was definitely a completely different band with Sammy.

And they both did some amazing stuff and some awful stuff.
VH1 will always be VH to me: just a studio 10” deep in empty beer cans, good old party band.
Hagar probably made better music, it just wasn’t as fun.
But both of them really had some great stuff.
