It does seem like a natural progression. The Revstar has such an excellent ergonomic feel. How are you liking it?

I had to have a medical procedure so i haven't played it much. I've never had a bigsby equipped guitar so that is going to take some getting used to, its kinda in the way of where my hand naturally likes to rest. I got it second hand from a guy who has many guitars so it's pretty much brand new (score). I applaud the Indonesians who built it as it's pretty much flawless, great appointments like burnished locking tuners and bridge. The Superflighter was never exported from Japan like the SG was so many people have never even seen one. Yamaha seems to really have a keen sense of what's right in a guitar. Looks, balance, playability, quality control etc I honestly wish more companies would do this good a job at making a guitar period let alone evolving on a design and i've had many brands in my hands over the years. I do have my favourites and Yamaha is one of them.
