Hi all!

I'm new. I own a 1990 les paul custom but due to some of the things I've read here, I've recently ordered an Edwards 92CD as a backup!

On my les paul, i use the TP-6 bridge. I really like it, use it a lot. I'm debating fitting the same or similar to the Edwards.

The edwards has a gotoh tailpiece. GE101Z. I know the TP-6 fine tuning tailpiece won't fit all posts, but it is a direct replacement for the usual Gibson TOM tailpiece. Does anyone know if that Gotoh tailpiece and posts will be the same as the standard LPC tune-o-matic tailpiece and posts?

I'm hoping this edwards is the bizniz!

I replaced the hardware on my Edwards 92 with Tonepros stuff. I got the small post tuneomatic and it was a direct fit over the existing posts.

On my Orville I also got a tuneomatic, but the seller sent me the big post (USA) version instead, when the guitar has small posts. I had to change over the screw posts things to accommodate but they fitted perfectly and the USA version is now on my metric guitar.

Cheers.

I had a TP-6 to fit to a LTD EC-1000 but the TP-6 didn't fit the posts, I think LTD had the locking Tonepros TOM. The bit in the post that catches the tailpiece in that was too narrow for the TP-6 to fit.

I've never tried changing screw posts.

If you have them, give it a go.

The screws for my Orville with the small tops were the same thread size as the screws with the big tops so I could use my bridge.

TP6s require special studs that have a little taller spacing in order to fit the tailpiece in. That's why you always want to buy a TP6 with the studs included as they are unique. Your only other option is to buy locking studs that screw down and can be adjusted to fit "taller" thickness tailpieces.

Old Tyme Hardcore man.
feel the darkness is a great record... one day I might get an iceman and saw off the horn. or maybe not.

TP6 needs unique posts? The one on my les paul didn't. I just took a look in case I missed something but its a perfect fit. I might look into the schaller fine tune tailpieces too. cheers all.
