Quite a few "Goodbye threads" but I remember only one "Come at me, Bro!" thread.
It was epic though!

nothing brings tears to a grizzled MLPer like memories of the come at me thread..
epic nonsense at monumental levels, it didn't stop until all drinks of choice had been spewed
out of the unfortunate nostril at hand
and onto the keyboard, for the most part

Now, there's a thought.

A dump thread that the public could see, where all those who wish to bid us a tearful goodbye could post to their broken-heart's content.

I'd need to dub in that tearful cartoon-violin music, the one where all the cartoon characters instantly start sniffling and bawling.

I swear, anyone who's ever spent as much as six months on any sort of a forum, let alone a guitar forum, and still thinks they'll get some sort of sympathetic attention from posting up a "goodbye" thread..

People who quit often get called back by those who genuinely like them. It's not always what it seems. Also, if a long time member does quit, it's nice to have at least some sort of explanation, rather than those who do care wondering forever if they fell off a bridge.

totally agree. Someone who gives Mal crap for telling like it is, is just buying into more of the OP's bull****. Even if its "real" this time, you know what happens to the boy who cries wolf. and rightfully so.

There should also be a rule that anyone using a goodbye thread to leave should admit to having had a sandy vag and promise to have remedied their situation before being allowed to post again.
