my sister brought her kids over while I wasn't home and when I got home from work my guitar was laying out, face up with all the weight on the headstock. I don't blame my niece for wanting to play it because she's young and doesnt know better but you'd think someone would have stopped her or at the very least put it back in the damn case.

My guitars are in their cases and in my "guitar vault" out of sight.
Worse than kids are drunken friends and guests who want to play air guitar.

I keep it in the case but she knows how to open it. I used to keep it under my bed but it just made me not play it so I leave it out where I can see it. I want to get some sort of safe or something.

Face up with all of the weight on the headstock?

WTF does that mean?

I would think a man that has 2 private jets would already have a walk-in, climate controlled, kid-proof, guitar storage full of 50’s les Paul’s?

Why not just threaten to beat the piss out of her like you did your friends girl for playing Merl Haggard?

Lemme guess, you two don’t know what “face up with all of the weight on the headstock” is either?

If you lay an LP on its back there’s two points of contact with the floor, the top of the headstock and the bottom of the body.
Which, unless I’m mistaken, means that there’s weight on the headstock (although there’s very little weight on it, it’s still risky position for a Les Paul to be in, especially with youngsters around)...

Free the guitar, lock up the girl instead!

Seriously though, maybe get a locking case? Or a locking armoire to put it in ?
