Another argument: buy new and play for a few weeks, value has decreased dramatically. Buy second hand, play for a few weeks and value has decreased almost nothing at all.

The R9 seems overpriced to me. If it is really a phenomenal player then maybe that's less of an issue, but otherwise I would simply eliminate it on that basis. $4300 is far too much for a guitar that does not immediately stand out as great. On the other hand, just buying the cheapest one because it costs less can be idiotic and a false economy. If you play as much as I do, the cost of a guitar over the hours and years of use ends up being less important than it seems. I have no trouble with either the 59 or 60 necks and easily move from one to the other, as I think most players can do, so that's not even an issue with me. Honestly, I don't see any reason not to get the R0. Bring your own amp and try it out as long as you need to.
