Best wishes for your friend.
Be strong.
Be strong.
So sorry to hear that I lost my grandmother to cancer 14 years ago today it affects everyone im so sorry.Last night one of my employees passed out at work. She is one of my favorite people ever. More than an employee she is a beloved family friend and has spent countless nights and weekends with my wife and I, our kids, my wife and her friends. We went in to check on her and drive her home, she's older, maybe her blood pressure flared, who knows. When we were talking to her she never seemed to be quite right. We called her daughter and made the call to send her to the hospital because we were that worried. We were thinking stroke or TIA. Her daughter called us this morning and it turns out she has cancer EVERYWHERE and had no idea. This is a bright, vibrant, and hilarious woman who woke up yesterday morning with no clue she was sick at all. Fuck.
The thumbs up was for making something positive from a shitty situation. Very admirable of you7 year old niece, friend's 5 year old son, both died of cancer. I did the only thing a guy could do, grew my hair out to the middle of my back (took nearly 5 years), did a fundraiser through work last year for the Canadian Cancer Society to shave my head, donated hair to Wigs for Kids.
Poor timing for the fund raiser, because of COVID and people worried about job security, I only raised $1,500 but better than nothing.
F! indeed!
Have a theory that only nice people seem to get cancer.
While people who have been pricks their entire lives, live to a ripe, old age!

I'm with you. My grandfather was the prime example. My grandmother was a saint and cancer took her at 72. Her husband was a complete prick and an alcoholic/chain smoker from the age of 15 and he made it to 85.
All we can say is "I understand" GD cancer is rightSorry for your loss. Everyone.
Took our middle son, and my wife, in about 4 year span. April 18 2008 & Jan 28 2012. My life ended too.
Cancer don’t play fair.
That's just gutting!
Beyond the ken how it could have spread throughout her body and she still reports to work?!?!?!!!
Sadly, my son's bud is at the end of round 4 of cancer. His mom called to make sure that he got to see my son one more time before he dies. He's 22.Cancer sucks. One of my son's best buds is battling his third cancer (recurrence of the second one) at 21.
