Locally I have seen a very nice looking (from the pics - haven't seen it in person or played it yet) 1964 Gibson Hummingbird for a price that is actually roughly equal to the retail price of the current production model. What am I missing here? Is the vintage acoustic market significantly different than the electric market? Seems like a pretty good value to me assuming it is a decent guitar that doesn't have any issues.
