Don't obsess...Us Faded Standard owners aren't wimps and complainers!:cool: If it plays well and you are happy, don't sweat it.

I am happy. lol I just wondered if I was happy and blind :laugh2:
No really, that faded has ended a very long search for the right Gibson for me. I am pleased. I was just surprised at the comment re: the USA quality because I didn't find it to be poor on mine. Doesn't mean it isn't...just surprised me.

Gibson USA (these days) it's the luck of the draw. CS is supposed to be "better", but not always the case. RI's, depends on the RI... can be perfect and flawless (looking) with just tinted binding, perhaps - or "aged" and looks like Sh***T on purpose. IMO

My Les Paul is a great player, I really did not buy it to make a fashion statement. It does go with near everything. Honey Burst is the color of my eyes!
