Just dropped some mid/late 60's Gibson T-Buckers in my 1993 Gibson Les Paul Studio. These are the "Patent # Pick-Ups", they have the patent # of the old Gibson trapeze tailpiece like on the very first Les Pauls. The tone out of these is just amazing. No comparison to the stock pups. They can handle the cleanest clean and the crunchiest crunch. On the clean channels the next nick up gets almost an acoustic smoothness. The bridge can spit out sweet hot leads and keep your open chords together even at the highest volumes. They get bluesey, they get heavey, they get chunky, they get spanky. No tone is out of reach with these babies. I never realized why people swear by vintage pick-ups but now I do.
