Collector's piece for Collectors. All it is- these will be case queens or sitting in display cases/racks of wealthy folks who grew up loving G&R/Slash. It's not for the mainstream consumer.

With only 250 made, not too surprised it sold out fast. A huge chunk prob got bought by the Reverb flippers. Will be curious to see if they actually sell at those asking prices. I can’t imagine any regular player spending 10k when they can get the same guitar in the other finishes for 3k new. I get the “collector” value and limited edition thing, but usually those guitars have some unique features or specs you can’t get on another model.
They issue way too many Slash guitars. They are not that unique anymore.

I got tired of seeing regular Standards selling for premium just because they have Slash's logo on the head, so I went ahead and bought an Epiphoien Slash guitar in November Burst. It satisfies the itch to have a Slash signature guitar and for $600 instead of $2500-3000 it is more than adequate.

Awesome, thank you! So his guitars are based off a 50s model?

He really nailed it with that post.... I have both guitars and that's the neck difference, Pups are great as he mentions.

To each their own, I have a 21 Slash standard that I bought strictly because it has the best playability of any guitar I've ever played and I'm 36 and been playing for 26 years.

That one is gorgeous :)

The new Standard 4 will land soon at my doorstep.
No matter what people say that it’s bad, to many Slash models, they are over priced etc etc…..
To me it’s a special feeling. I have a couple of Gibson Customshop and I love Gibson Les Paul model guitars. But in the end or in the beginning actually, my journey in to Gibson territory was because of the man in the hat. Im just glad to have a guitar with his name on and to get a signed photo. If it weren’t for him, I don’t think I would have started to play a Gibson really and I wouldn’t have been on this forum.
I happily paying some extra cash for a good Gibson no matter what model it is.

But I can say this, if the guitar is a dull and an “un lively” example, then it goes back :)

Quality in the end goes first :D

It looks very similar to my old 2019 Trad.

I like red LPs. They should put the proper SD pickups in those Slash models though. Shame the red is a limited edition. It's the nicest one along with the Appetite Burst.
Get that son of a bitch in some sun light
